Imaging Preview Options

Plastic surgery in the 21st century is all about options and education. To provide his clients with the best in both those areas, Dr. Payne has incorporated the Canfield Mirror Imaging System into his cosmetic surgery practice. This technology allows clients to view potential results of any surgery they are considering.

General Imaging Process

  1. The client’s image is first recorded with a digital camera.
  2. The image is transferred onto a computer screen and altered using medical software to simulate the anticipated results of the operative procedure.
  3. The client may view a split-screen image showing the before image adjacent to the after image.

This technology may be used to demonstrate before-and-after changes with any body part. It is particularly helpful when educating clients about certain surgical procedures such as rhinoplasty, chin implants, and liposuction of the thighs and other areas.

The purpose of these images is to educate and inform the potential surgery client. The before-and-after images will not correlate precisely with how the client will look after surgery, but they help the client understand how changes may appear. There is no warranty given or implied with respect to these preoperative images and the actual postoperative result.

If you would like to preview your potential postoperative result, talk to the office staff about this option when you schedule your initial consultation. At your consultation, when Dr. Payne takes your detailed history and performs a physical, he can include the Canfield Mirror Imaging System image analysis in your procedure review.

You can also review our before-and-after albums, which contain client examples for each type of surgery. All photos in the albums are of Dr. Payne’s clients.
